About Me

I am Ayesha Minhaz, an independent journalist and researcher based in Hyderabad, India.

My core areas of expertise are human rights, development, resource conflict and alienation, social justice, labour, gender, and technology. The intersections of these themes form the crux of most projects I undertake. My work has appeared in various formats, including long-form reports and multimedia projects.

I hold an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London. I received the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Chevening Scholarship (2018-19) to fund my master's. I am an alumna of the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai, where I was a part of the New Media journalism cohort.

When not working, you can find me cuddled up with a cat, poetry anthology, or both.
